Born of Silence by Sherrilyn Kenyon
This was a great summer read. I never thought I would like this genre (futuristic sci-fi type of story) but it was very good and kept me reading to find out what happened to the very interesting characters.  This is a series, and I had not read any of the previous books, but that was not necessary.  I will definitely start ts series from the beginning because I'm hooked. Great story and awesome characters have made me a fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon. - April K.
Look Again by Lisa Scotoline

This was a very interesting read and quite different from her other mystery books.
Just when you thought you had it figured out, there was another twist to the story.  The ending was not predictable and overall a good summer read.
4.5 Stars. - Maureen H.

Divergent by Veronica Roth
I really enjoyed this book, and so did my 15 year old daughter.  We kept stealing it back and forth from each other so we could read it!  I enjoyed the characters and the story was engaging.  I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series! - Lora.
11/2/63 by Stephen King

i thought this was a very original and well written book. before reading this book i had very little knowledge about the John Kennedy assassination and about Lee Harvey Oswald in general. Even thou King admitted that some of the facts in his book were fictional i believe it shines a new light on the supposed killer. the main character was very complex and steadily evolved throughout the book. King's views on time travel and timelines are refreshing. Overall i give this book a B+. It was good but could have been stronger in some areas. - John P.

Wings of Refuge by Lynn Austin
Fantastic book.  This is now one of my favorite books.  The setting is in Israel.  The time is a mixture of current day, 60 A.D. and the mid-1900s. Love the mixture of archaeology, history, politics, and drama. - Elena B.
The White Lioness by Henning Mankell
This is the third book in a series about a Swedish detective, Kurt Wallander. In my opinion, this is not one of Mankell's best efforts. The plot was overshadowed by the issue of apartheid in South Africa, which makes the book somewhat outdated. However, it is still a page turner with some very exciting twists and turns. - Susan S.
Ghetto Superstar by Nikki Turner
I liked the story just don't like the way it ended, left me wanting more still waiting on a part 2. - Doresha G.
UR by Stephen King
Stephen King's novella takes us on a journey through alternative timelines, or Urs, discovered through the protagonist's new pink Kindle eReader. Wesley is a college English instructor whose girlfriend finds him to be a bit behind in the times. After she leaves him, he buys the Kindle out of spite, but it may be just the thing that brings them back together if he can use it to impress her, or to save her life. If you enjoyed 11-22-63, you will enjoy this one, but I have just one complaint. The ending was too easy. Stephen King knows that reality is messy and bittersweet, but the ending of this story seems just too simple and pat, too mega-happy. Overall, though, I'm glad I read it and I definitely recommend it for any King fan. - Cherelyn W.
Copper River by William Ken Krueger
A mystery with a likable sherrif at the helm, interesting tidbits thrown in about nature and Native American beliefs, family pulling together to solve the problems at hand - an easy and enjoyable summer read. - L. Elsberry
Let's Pretend this Never Happened by Jenny Lawson

I have been a big fan of Jenny Lawson (AKA The Bloggess) since I discovered her fantastic and funny Twitter feed a year or so ago. I have followed her adventures as she dealt with her social anxiety and quirky way of looking at the world. I participated in her Mock Zombie Apocalypse last year which had me in stitches from first tweet to last! So, imagine my excitement to find out that Jenny had written a book!
