The Fresno County Public Library welcomes support from our community
to enhance the services we provide. We work alongside our partner nonprofit organization, The Friends of the Fresno County Public Library, to raise funds for programs and services that are outside of the Library's budget.
The Friends
The Friends of the Fresno County Public Library, or as we simply call them, The Friends, is the nonprofit partner organization to the Fresno County Public Library. The Friends help the Library by raising funds, accepting book donations, and helping the Library enhance our services throughout the county.

You can mail a check donation directly to the Friends of the Library. If you have a local branch library you would like the money to be used towards, please indicate that in the memo line.
Stock & Estate Gifts and Memorial Giving
If you are interested in supporting the Library through gifts of stock, estate, or creating a memorial fund, please email give@fresnolibrary.org.

Give Books
The Library has funds from voter-approved Measure B funds to fund book purchases throughout the year. If you are interested in donating new and gently used books to the Library, we ask that you donate those books directly to the Friends of the Library.
You can do so by:
- Dropping off books at your local Fresno County Public Library Branch.
- Calling the Friends of the Library at 559‑492‑6657 to schedule a book donation pick-up.
All book donations are sold at book sales throughout the year. The funds from those sales go towards enhancing the services of the Library.
