Do you qualify for the California Earned Income Tax Credit or Young Child Tax Credit?
If you have low income and work, you may qualify for CalEITC. This credit gives you a refund or reduces your tax owed. If you qualify for CalEITC and have a child under the age of 6, you may also qualify for the Young Child Tax Credit. Find out more here: CalEITC and YCTC.

Free limited quantities of state booklets (540 Resident, 540 2EZ English, 540 2EZ Spanish, 540 NR Nonresident) and IRS forms and instructions Form 1040, Schedules 1 - 3, and Form 1040-SR (for Seniors). All other IRS products are unavailable. Tax products will be made available as they arrive from the IRS.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax return preparation by IRS-trained volunteers for low- to moderate-income individuals and families. Visit the United Way of Fresno and Madera Counties website or call 2-1-1 for more details.
