Digital Cards are good for 6 months. To convert your digital card to a permanent free library card, please visit one of our library branches.

If you currently have a FCPL card, no need to reapply. Your card already provides you access to all of our online resources as well as our branch collections. For help, please contact us.

Instant Digital Card for Libby/OverDrive

Fresno County residents ages 18 and up can get immediate one-year access to the Library's collection of eBooks and audiobooks by using a mobile phone number. To sign up with your mobile number in the free Libby app:

  • Download Libby from the Apple App Store or Google Play, or access Libby in a web browser.
  • In Libby, find Fresno County Public Library.
  • Sign up by entering your mobile number.

Instant Digital Cards are good for one year. For continued access, sign up for a permanent free library card at one of our library branches.


Moving eBook loans and holds to a new card

To move your Libby/OverDrive loans and holds to a new card, please email us for assistance.

To move your cloudLibrary loans and holds to a new card, please email cloudLibrary Support.

In your email, please provide:

  • Your new library card number and
  • Your previous card number (or your mobile number, if you used it to sign into Libby or OverDrive)
