Service Delivery Plan
Introduction
This Service Delivery Plan was approved by the Board in March 1999. Much
of the initial restoration of materials, hours, and services was accomplished
during the first year of implementation. Steady progress toward full implementation
continues to be a priority.
Branch Hours of Service
Total hours of all locations were more than doubled to a level of 77,814
annual hours of public service. The hours at each location are based on
population,
use, and the number of community based activities. At this level of access,
library service accommodates multiple types of programs for children;
convenient open hours of access for all patrons; literacy activities;
programs for teens, adults, and seniors; bookmobile hours to visit senior
centers and child day care centers in the county; and activities in support
of independent learning, particularly in support of job training. World
Wide Web workstations are available in all locations.
