1. What is Measure B?
Measure B is a one-eighth of one percent sales tax intended to provide funds for improvement of library services throughout Fresno County. Voters passed Measure B in November 1998 and again in 2004. Both measures are governed by expenditure plans.
2. How much money has Measure B generated?
Measure B has provided more than $76 million through June 2007.
3. How has Measure B improved library services and programs?
Measure B has resulted in funds to provide more hours, more materials and more services for Fresno County residents. Measure B has also contributed to new building and renovation projects in Kerman, Caruthers, Laton, Fowler, Orange Cove, Tranquillity, Mendota and the Woodward Park area.
4. When will Measure B expire?
Fresno County residents voted in 2004 to extend Measure B through March 2013.
