August Book Sale Extravaganza
Looking for a good deal on used books? Then August is your lucky month. Bargain hunters and book lovers will find deals galore and at the same time help support literacy programs and services at Fresno County Public Libraries. You’ll find thousands of wonderfully informative, entertaining, and downright inspiring books at these book sales in Fowler, Fresno and Clovis. Visit one or all three.

Friends of the Fresno County Public Library Book Sale Following the success of the same event last year, the Fresno County Friends of the Library is partnering with CBS Channel 47, Sierra Vista Mall, A Book Barn in Clovis and other valley organizations for a book sale August 20 thru 26. Last year donations of more than 180,000 books turned into nearly $30,000 used to support the programs and services of the Library. On August 8, CBS47 On Your Side will collect donated books at its offices on First Street just south of Shaw Avenue in Fresno from 5am to 7pm. Donations of used books, CDs, DVDs, audio books, encyclopedias, puzzles, and video and board games are also being accepted at any branch of the Fresno County Public Library. Beginning August 13, you can also drop off your donations at the book sale’s store front in Sierra Vista Mall (near Kohl’s). Click here for more information about the book drive.
