The California History and Genealogy Room was created in 1993 as a cooperative effort of the Fresno County Public Library and the Fresno County Genealogical Society. Total holdings consist of approximately 30,000 books and pamphlets, 5,000 microforms, 300 CD-ROMs, and many other types of research materials.

Newspaper Archive A collection of 2,300 digitized, keyword-searchable newspapers from across the United States, dating from 1759 to the present. Includes much of the Fresno Weekly/Morning Republican (1876-1921) and the Fresno Bee (1923-1978). In-Library use only.
